일시: 2017년 6월 16일 6:30 pm 장소: 남산서울클럽 연사: Melissa Nobles 교수 및 MIT HASS 학장 주제: Campagin for the Better World 프로필Prof. Melissa Nobles (Dean of School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Science) and Kenan Sahin, Dean of MIT’s School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (SHASS), as she shares an update from the Institute with the MIT Club of Korea. MIT has a record of transforming society for the better. As the Institute looks to the horizon, it sees a future of important challenges and inspiring opportunities. The humanities, arts, and social sciences are an essential component of an MIT education—both for educating great engineers, scientists, scholars, and citizens and for sustaining the Institute’s capacity for innovation. These fields play a critical role as MIT educates students who are prepared to help solve the world’s most challenging problems—in energy, health care, water and food, and dozens of other fields. Dean Nobles will highlight teaching and research activities in SHASS, as well as key initiatives – including the Campaign for a Better World – across the MIT campus.
